Why choose

Cognitive Hypnotherapy?

I know how difficult choosing a form of therapy can be.

I’ve been there.

That’s what makes Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapists so different: we do not prescribe. Rather, we see every client as unique, and tailor-make our treatment plans according to your individual needs. With a robust training across the spectrum of therapeutic modalities, we can draw from a range of approaches and not be limited to a one-size fits all protocol.

Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy is founded on a set of principles that we believe best support the potential for lasting change in any individual.

Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an Evidence-Based Therapy that combines traditional Hypnotherapy techniques such as Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Timeline Regression (TLR), and also integrates modalities including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP), WordWeaving®, Somatic Psychotherapy, Nervous System Reset, Eye-Movement Reprocessing, and more.

It is a highly effective therapeutic approach that aims to move clients from an External Locus of Control (ELOC) to an Internal Locus of Control (ILOC), so that you can feel confident in your own abilities to handle what life may bring. This solutions-focussed process puts you at the helm; we go at your pace and deal with what emerges. In this way, we remove the pressure of labels and symptoms and instead focus on 2 key questions: 1.What's that about? And 2. How can I use it? These two questions enable us to get curious about what it is that has brought you to therapy and unearth the root drivers of your unconscious patterns. Because, once we understand what's driving your helpful patterns, we are more able to carve a new path forward and create lasting change.

In a 2015 research study, Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy was found to have a greater effectiveness for the treatment of anxiety and depression than other talk therapies such as CBT used within the NHS. The results showed that out of 118 participants, 71% reported feeling better after just 4 sessions of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy, compared with 42% of participants who received other therapies.
